    We’ll begin by looking at guidebooks and route selection, ensuring you can make informed decisions when choosing climbs. You will learn about climbing gear, including what to keep on your harness and in your backpack, focusing on the appropriate equipment needed for safe climbing.

    Next, we’ll progress to placing gear, evaluating the quality of placements, and building safe, robust anchors. You’ll also learn essential ropework and belaying techniques, with the goal of getting you on the sharp end, climbing your first trad route on lead.

    For 1:2 sessions, I’ll coach you alongside your regular climbing partner, using a separate rope. While you climb, I’ll be right beside you, offering tailored advice and techniques.
